Matryoshka Dolls
Russian dolls are the most famous souvenir from Russia, and indeed a symbol of Russia. They consist of a set of wooden dolls (anywhere between three and even 50 or more!) in decreasing sizes that nest inside each other. In Russian they are known as matryoshka dolls.
Carved Wooden Toys
The carved wooden toys are often animals, such as bears or cockerels, which have moving parts when the weight beneath the toys is rocked and be can painted or left natural.
Ceramics
Pumping clay into moulds makes the ceramics. This is then fired in a kiln before being painted and glazed and then fired again. Today, the most popular ceramics are white and blue (from Gzhel), created using cobalt.

Fudge candies are one of the most exquisite confectionery products. This treat has an excellent taste with various options of fillings. It is not surprising that it is the fondant candies that are irreplaceable on the festive table! Fudge is a truly Volga and Samara souvenir with a unique sweet taste.
Space food
Space has a great significance for the city of Samara: there is a space museum, a rocket and space center, and aerospace departments at Samara University. In different exhibition centers, you can find interesting exhibits, such as space food. In space, you cannot take food in the usual packaging: they take, as a rule, freeze-dried products. Before freeze-drying, the prepared dishes are frozen with liquid nitrogen, divided into portions and the excess ice is removed. Such food is packed in special vacuum bags. Even the soup is preserved only in powdered form. Space food is a truly unusual souvenir from Russia!
