Study Program

Any International School is aimed to deepen students’ knowledge in a specific field of interest. The major part of international schools is dedicated to studying new materials, practicing tasks and training hard skills. The study program daily runs 3-8 hours (except Sundays) and consists of lectures, seminars, workshops, labs, games, group projects with the leading staff of Samara University and experts in the professional sphere. The list of subjects, its description and lecturer are accessible in a Syllabus section of the chosen international school. Accommodation

Accommodation

Accommodation for students is arranged at the hotel Oktyabrskaya located near the university in a 10-15 minutes walk. Participants usually live in a double room with 2 single beds. However, students sometimes can live in a triple room with 3 single beds as an exception or upon request. Students reside with representatives of the same sex. There is a fridge, TV, lavatory, desk, wardrobe, towels, free Wi-Fi and city view in a room. The hotel is situated in the living area next to the city bus station. Supermarkets, pharmacies, cafes, shopping malls, banks, bus stops are located nearby. Accommodation charge is included in the tuition fee of the on-campus program.

Meal

The 2-time meal includes breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served at the hotel. Lunch is provided at the university's canteen or local cafes (depends on timetable). Lunch consists of 3 dishes such as salad, soup, main meal and drink. Every meal comprises Russian cuisine. If students have allergies or vegetarian/vegan preferences, some meal options could be discussed upon a personal request. Dinner is not included in the tuition fee. Students are free to choose it by themselves. The 2-time meal is included in the tuition fee of the on-campus program.

The International Schools Team would like to make students' presence in Samara city joyful, pleasant and sightseeing. Visiting Russia seems to be a great opportunity for international students to meet with cultural traditions, architecture and Russian way of life to broaden horizons and experience the world. City tour around Samara involves visiting the Glory square, coming to the Stalin’s Bunker, walking around the historical city center and viewing the actual rocket in real size. Museums of Samara University are glad to welcome worldwide guests in Smart House of Butterflies, Museum of Aviation and Cosmonautics, Aircraft Engines History Center, Training Airfield (only in summer) and describe results of innovative and scientific work and present unique exhibits from the museum's collections.

Social & Entertainment Activities

Your trip could be more awesome and memorable together with the international school team on social & entertainment programs. Samara city is a wonderful place with numerous attractions and activities. International Schools’ volunteers will be excited to accompany students after studies and on weekends. You can swim in the Volga river, have a picnic in the park and enjoy the lovely sunset in summer or skate on the rink, play snowballs and have a tea party in winter. Volunteers (students of Samara University) will be glad to show you the beauty of Samara and meet you with Russian peculiarities and daily life in students’ free time. Making friends all over the world and having fun together are the lovely benefits of social & entertainment activities.

Assistance and Support

Assistance and Support

The International Schools Team provides full assistance with application procedure, visa formalities and execution of necessary documentation via email. Students are free to ask questions, make requests and send notifications via email. The International Schools Team is pleased to advise flight tickets to Samara, better time of arrival to Russia, migration card issues and so on. The 24/7 help and support are provided to students during their stay in Samara and Russia. Volunteers and managers accompany students to all classes and activities upon the timetable, guide from the hotel to university and back, help with translation and money exchange under request, spend time together on social & entertainment programs and ensure any needed help.

Pick up from Kurumoch Airport (Samara city)

Pick up from Kurumoch Airport (Samara city)

Samara University renders transfer from Kurumoch Airport to all students. Volunteers will be waiting for students in the airport terminal with International Schools signs. If any help is needed in the airport, the International Schools Team is ready to help too. Volunteers follow students to the hotel and assist check-in to the room. The transfers from and to the airport of Samara are included in the fee.
