Smart House of Butterflies invited students to explore the magnificent fauna world. Let's get acquainted with insects and butterflies!

The Smart House of Butterflies is one of the largest collections in Russia - the professor of Samara University Sergei Sachkov has been collecting it for more than 40 years, and now it is represented by almost 75 thousand copies not only from the Russian regions but more than 150 countries in Africa, North and South America, South Asia and Europe.

Students descried many types of butterflies, followed the guide and used VR technologies to learn fauna! If students put on virtual reality glasses, they can immediately discover the national park "Samaraskaya Luka" without leaving the museum! Participants could virtually travel between locations, see butterflies in their natural habitat, visit the Samara steppes or even tropical forests.

The collection is used for scientific research and demonstration material for students during practical sessions. Russian and foreign specialists are coming to Samara to study the collection of Sergei Sachkov at Samara University.
